Not super early in her career, but at the time she's making the transformation from star to Queen of Hollywood. Her leading man is a young up and comer called Clark Gable!
Joan looks like a million dang dollars in this scene.

Pretty Ladies. The movie JC considered her first. Watch it before it gets taken down! Parenthetically, I like this movie. One of my favorite movies from her first year in Hollywood. ZaSu Pitts is great. I'm guessing Liliyan Tishman also did a great job since I want to smack her for being such a meanie! 😃

I know this may sound a little immature, but for some reason I like saying the name ZaSu Pitts. It makes me smile. 😊

Pretty impressive range from Greed to full-on comedienne in her talkies career. I read that her voice was the inspitration for Olive Oyl in the Popeye cartoons.

You can't get much earlier than this in the Joan pantheon. She's still Lucille LeSueur!
JC at about 54:00
I like how JC is listed in the title, not Norma Shearer. I think Joan would like that too!

Review of Proud Flesh (1925). Joan has a small bit part as a party guest about half way through the movie. I especially concur with his praise of Harrison Ford as the Spanish Don.
