Just starting to rewatch this. The things they let them get away with pre-code. The scene at the 26 min mark is pure sizzle. What did Joan say about sex in movies and not needing to show it. The scene where they show up an hour late to their own dinner party is classic.

Crawford’s point of view regarding Clark Gable, “He’s got balls.” She should know personally and in regards to his acting career. Also in other situations that he has been in that made her stand up and support him. I’m believe she also mentioned it, “his balls” on her NYC Town Hall celebration ceremony towards the end of her life. You can see in her eyes the love and admiration she always had for him. That puts a smile on my face because I always enjoy seeing them together. Thanks again Tom. ✌️❤️😊

I was thinking after watching Possessed last night that when Gable and Crawford are doing a scene together that he looks like the cat that ate the canary and she looks like a very happy canary!

I couldn’t agree more. That sly dog. Check out the photo that Admin Stephanie posted on 10/3/21 on the BOE website. A film still from Love on the Run with Clark Gable. Look at the way Joan looks at him. He does looks like the cat that swallowed the canary. He also looks like he’s grabbing the guys ass and Joan caught him. I love it.

Another impressive thing after having watched this film for the first time in a while is her singing.
I can't believe that Clarence Brown didn't cut to Gable's face when Joan is singing "How Long Will It Last" to him. He probably looked like the cat that ate a flock of canaries! 😃
This is Joan singing with an orchestra.
I prefer the arrangement in the movie. Maybe because you get to gaze at JC in all her early 30s splendor.

I had to laugh at your post on not cutting to Gable’s face. He must have had a mile long smirk that he couldn’t control. They had no choice in not showing him. Nice catch my friend.
