Have you ever noticed in every still photo that Franchot Tone is in with Joan. He is always gazing at her and not the camera? Do you think this was done by him on purpose or just a coincidence I noticed?

Do you think this was done by him on purpose or just a coincidence I noticed? YES! I noticed this very thing with both Franchot and Al Steele. In most photos, they are primarily gazing adoringly at her, and Joan is primarily looking at the camera. BUT: Look at the Doug Fairbanks photos: In those, he's the one mostly looking into the camera, with her looking at him. Seems to be a psychological thing! You really can judge from the photos who's more "in to" the other. |
