When Joan first arrived in Hollywood on January 3, 1925, she was driven to the Hotel Washington, where she lived for the next 6 months or so. The place still stands and is now called the "Palihotel Culver City." (Pally-hotel?!)

I just saw the photos of the hotel and read Joan’s quote on living there. I’m glad she wasn’t living there long. Even if the hotel was only a couple of years old back then. She was ready to move on up and out. I wonder what she thought of it many years after living in her Brentwood mansion driving by the old hotel?  What memories did it hold for her?
