Did William Haines have vitiligo?

Take a look at William Haines's hands in this unretouched publicity shot for 1927's "Spring Fever." Was he known to have had the skin disease vitiligo? (I haven't read any Haines bios, so don't know if this was ever mentioned.)

In Wisecracker, the Haines bio, which I just finished reading,
it is mentioned that Billie developed vitiligo as he aged.
Perhaps this is an early manifestation of that.
