I just watched your video. I now have a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. We will always and forever stand by Joan Crawford. Thanks so much for the post. It really touched me with love and sadness. Wow, time for me to gather my composure and get myself together.

I apologize though, as I got the name wrong. It's royal_glamour 1930. Not 130. Here is another that I was watching this morning.

Hello our “Full Member” Tom. I LOVE watching Joan Crawford and Clark Gable movies. They’re my favorite. They worked so well together. They really had movie chemistry unlike any other actors that I can think of. I have to thank you again. This time I didn’t have tears in my eyes. I had a good feelings for the memories of seeing them together in their prime. Both so young and beautiful.

Thanks for vouching for me for full membership! I thought you would like that one, it had quite a few scenes from Dancing Lady, including your favorite scene. My only issue with that video is that I am now so tempted to watch all 8 JC/CG movies, and I have a ton of work to do!

Thanks Tom It’s funny because last night I was thinking why they never married. You know I love them together more then any other couple. It could have been due to so many things. I’m not sure if there is a quote of Joan or Gable ever talking about it? Let me know if you find anything. I wonder if it was because they were married to other people? Bad timing? Louis B Mayer’s warring? Jealous issues when the other is away? They looked so naturally in love in both on screen and off screen photos. I truly believe they had a special love for each other in real life. Perhaps they thought it was best to be with each other as friends with benefits. Why not? They were ahead of their time. I love them both!!! Let me know what you guys think the reason is that they never married.

Perhaps they realized that with their personalities a marriage would kill a great friendship and put a damper on their extracurricular canoodling! 😃 I'm in the process of working my way through Carole Lombard's pre-code films. Old Clark really knew how to pick them! She's a dream. Love her work, especially once they let her add a little com to the rom!
